How do I setup remote desk top?

Step 1:  Allow incoming connections on the host computer

First, you want to make sure that incoming connections are enabled on your desktop (host) computer.  To do this, press Image+X to show the shortcut menu, and select System from the list.  On the left side of the window that opens, choose Remote Settings.  Finally, at the bottom, choose Allow remote connections to this computer.  Click OK to save your selection.

Before you close the System window, look for and note the Computer Name (it's listed in the lower area of that window).  You'll need this to connect.

Step 2:  Connect to the host from the guest computer
You're ready to connect.  On your guest computer (the laptop), start Remote Desktop from the Start menu. In the Computer box, type the computer name of the desktop computer, then click Connect.  You may be prompted for your username and password to the other computer (if it's not the same on both computers) and then you'll see the remote computer's screen.
