Here's what to do if your special high speed internet system is closed or obstructed.
To open up a special high speed internet device
If your special high speed internet system has a PIN, the product will be instantly closed when you turn off your PC, enter hibernation, or eliminate the information cards from your PC. The next time you start your PC, continue from hibernation, or place the information cards, the position of the product will appear as Device closed. Adopt these measures to open up it:
- View a list of available networks by swiping in from the right edge of the screen, tapping Settings (or if you're using a mouse, pointing to the upper-right corner of the screen, moving the mouse pointer down, and then clicking Settings), and then tapping or clicking the network icon (
or
).
- Tap or click the name of the mobile broadband connection, and then tap or click Connect.
- Enter the PIN, and then tap or click OK.
To unblock a mobile broadband device
When a special high speed internet system is obstructed, you can't open up it with the PIN. The position of the product will appear as Blocked. To unblock the product, you must get into an unblock key (sometimes known as a PUK) that you get from your special high speed internet company. You'll also need to make a new PIN during the unblocking procedure. Adopt these measures to unblock your device:
- View a list of available networks by swiping in from the right edge of the screen, tapping Settings (or if you're using a mouse, pointing to the upper-right corner of the screen, moving the mouse pointer down, and then clicking Settings), and then tapping or clicking the network icon (
or
).
- Press and hold or right-click the mobile broadband network, tap or click View connection properties, and then tap or click the Security tab.
- Tap or click Unblock device.
- Enter the unblock key, enter and verify a new PIN, and then tap or click Unblock device.
